In the heart of Vancouver, Canada, originates a locally sourced business brand, Sashi Collection. Here, the owner Dr. Asha Bhatti cultivates her passion for fashion into timeless masterpieces weaving together intricate traditional culture with elegant modern looks.
Dr Asha Bhatti’s journey began in India, where she was born and brought up in the culture-oriented states of Punjab, Rajasthan and Kashmir. Her passion to mingle cultural-heritage into fashion was evident long ago. During her early days, she taught college students as an associate professor, Head of Music Department, about the diverse cultural tapestries of different backgrounds and beyond. After many compliments and encouragement from her friends and family, she soon realized that she had a special knack for fashion. Little did she know that what started off with making small little designer creations, would turn into one of her life’s greatest purposes.
Upon arriving in Canada, Dr Asha Bhatti set out to interwove the essence of Indian, Kashmiri, Rajasthani and Western culture through Saashi Collection. Each piece of jewelry and clothing reflects the vibrant colors and the luxurious textures of Indian craftsmanship while pairing it with elegant and intricate Kashmiri, Punjabi and Rajasthani fashions. Whether it’s the elaborate pattern of a handwoven shawl or the elegance of traditional jewelry, every item embodies the essence of tradition, ethnicity and sophistication.
Living in Canada, Dr Asha Bhatti understood the importance of using quality fabric that matched the seasonal weather.
